He is survived by: his wife Della Bridges Philbeck; his children, Angie Cathey (Allen), Christy Bridges (Justin) and Rodney Philbeck of Shelby; his siblings, Gert Knox of Grover and G. C. Philbeck of Kings Mountain; and his mother-in-law Hazel Keeter of Shelby. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
