It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Hunt of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Peter and Geraldine Austin Hunt; and his siblings, Mary, Aimee, Steve and Theodore.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Roberts Hunt; his siblings, Gerald Hunt (Judy) and Christine Painter; his children, Kathryn Fedak (David), Karen Carpenter (Matthew), Colleen Hobart (Sean) and Frederick Hunt (Lory); his grandchildren, Kayla, David, Zachary, Daniel, Jacob, Mary Kate, Emily, John, Hannah, Sarah, Christianna, Luke, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Ella, Molly, Matthew, Patricia, Michael and Evelyn; and his great grandchild Arianna.
