With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Franklin Daniel Morgan of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie C. Taylor and Daniel W. Morgan; his wife Betty Faye Morgan; his siblings, Sampson W. Morgan, Charlotte Cooper, Viola Crosby, Perley Mae Morgan, Evelyn Ayers and Estelle Payne; and his son-in-law Rev. Henry Nichols, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Richard Daniel Morgan (Theresa), Patricia Morgan Nichols of Lattimore, NC and Betty Lynn Morgan Keener (Paul) of Lattimore, NC; and his grandchildren, Rick Morgan (Kirsten), Lori Gambill (Garret), Daniel Nichols (Danyel), Sherri Nichols, Henry Nichols III (Ashley), Jacob Keener and Sarah Keener. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, four great-great granddaughters and many very loved nieces and nephews.
