She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Columbus Cartee and Alma Scruggs Cartee; her husband Hubert Henry Padgett; and her siblings, Eules Cartee, Wyatt Cartee, Broadus Cartee, Walter Cartee, Lula Mode, Mildred Davidson and Virginia George.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Padgett of Shelby, NC and Tim Padgett (Denise) of Lawndale, NC; her grandchildren, Christopher Padgett (Nathan) of Greenville, SC, Heather Poston (Tyler) of Lawndale, NC and Zachary Padgett (Amy) of Lincolnton, NC; her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Padgett, Christopher Kale Padgett, Rylan Poston, Scarlett Poston and Sawyer Padgett; and her sisters, Grace Ramsey of Hickory, NC, Doris Hubbard of Pensacola, FL and Hazel Hall of Gassaway, WV. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
