With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Floyd Champion of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dixon Ezell Floyd and Daisy Elizabeth Crowder Floyd; and her brothers, Harold Wilford Floyd and Dean Floyd. She is survived by: her husband William Steve Champion; her son Scott Champion (Jaime) of Winston-Salem; her siblings, Jim Floyd of Polkville, Mary Putnam of Belwood and Patricia Burke of Greenville, SC; and her granddaughter Chloe Glover.
