He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hubbard Padgett; his children, Scott Timothy Padgett (Lindsey) of Kings Mountain and Robbin Kelly Padgett (Greg Summers) of Shelby; his grandson Matt Padgett Chris (Mary); his stepgrandchildren, Maddy and Mason Demetro; and his siblings, Ruth Willis, Helen Tipton, Jane Camby, Elaine Dobbins (Ronnie), Matilda Hamrick and Steve Padgett.
