It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elva Strickland Jennings (Shelby, North Carolina), who passed away on November 14, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clyde Strickland and Kate Mullinax Strickland; her husband Rupert Jennings; and her brother James Strickland. She is survived by: her children, Edgar Ernest Blackburn (Gen), Kathy Butler (Mike), Danny Clyde Blackburn (Judith) and Elva Ann McGlynn (Edward). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
