He was predeceased by: his parents, Broadus B. Bowen and Fannie May Ledford Bowen; his former wife Faye Bowen; and his siblings, Harvey B. Bowen, Sr., Hazel Bowen McCraw, Elva May Bowen Rollins and Shirley Bowen Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Bowen; his grandsons, Zachary Bowen and William Bowen; and his close friend Edna Wright. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
