We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Doug Elam of Shelby, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Elam and Marilue Roberts Elam of Belwood. He is survived by: his siblings, Rachael Elam Bayliff of Vienna, Allison Elam (Valerie) of Mountaintop, Bill Elam (Jill) of Greensboro, NC and Mark Elam (Sharah) of Asheville; and his niece Eve Doss of Greensboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to one of Doug's favorite causes: the National Association for the Mentally Ill/NAMI South Mountains NC: Shelby Pride; or to Cleveland County Animal Services or a charity of the donor's choice.
