She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Witherspoon and Sallie Summit Witherspoon; her husband Richard Brent Lynn Sr.; and her siblings, Pat Houser, Polly Chiswell, Ruby, Virginia Witherspoon and Arthur Witherspoon.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Brent Lynn Jr. (Joyce) and Jeanne Ellis (Scott) of Shelby; her grandchildren, Molly Kendrick, Stephanie Ellis-Martin (Alex) and Bradley Ellis; her great grandchildren, Ryder, Gavin and Brent; her nieces and nephews, David Lynn, Julie Tillman, Janet Pittard, David Chiswell, Rachel White and Walter Pharr; and her caregiver Tabitha Morris.
