With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Kunkle of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Zacheja and Hildegard Zacheja. She is survived by: her husband James M. Kunkle; her daughters, Karen J. Barr (Harry Barr III) of Clover, SC and Michelle E. Barr (Christopher W. Barr) of Kings Mountain, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Barr of Charlotte, NC, Brooke Barr of Clover, SC, Sara Barr of Charlotte, NC, Alex and Andrew Barr of Kings Mountain; her sister Sigrid Huschle of Mobile, Alabama; and her nieces, Claudia Boyle of Mobile and Lori Pushman of Clintondale, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the following organizations she held dear to her heart: Elizabeth Baptist Church, Levine Cancer Center at Atrium Health Cleveland, or Hospice of Cleveland County.
