It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Beatrice Davis of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Burdett and Emily Jane Willis Burdett. She is survived by: her husband Joe Harvey Davis; her sons, Mike and Tony Davis; her siblings, Lucille Darnell of Clarence Burdett, J. P, Grace Lowe, Carlos Burdett and Carl Burdett; her children, Mark Davis (Abby) of Travelers Rest, SC and Christy Silver (Gary) of Shelby, NC.; her grandchildren, Binh, Shannon, Tony, Lauren, Emma, Hannah Davis, Josh Peterson, Stephanie Duncan and Michael Silver; her great grandchildren, Toni Rae, Tiffany, Lilliann Davis, Grayson, Rainey Duncan and Noah Peterson; her siblings, Alvin Burdett of Marietta, SC and Christine Burdett of Marietta, SC; her daughter-in-law Marsha Davis; and her close friends, Tammy Porter and Betty Ivey. She is also survived by her family and friends.
