He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Pete" Peters and Daisy Hastings Peters. He is survived by: his sons, Tim (Chrisy) and Jody; his friend Betty Jane Scoggins; his granddaughters, Alexis Grace Peters and Kylie Sherwood (Tyler) of Boone, NC; and his great grandchild Jack Wiley Sherwood.
