He was predeceased by: his parent Einar Larsen; his wife Kathleen Padgett Larsen; and his siblings, Norman Larsen and Karen Larsen. He is survived by: his daughters, Charity Larsen-Davis of Shelby, Gina Owens (Steve) of Rutherfordton, Tammy Waldrop of Boiling Springs, SC, Kimberly Larsen Ritter of Rutherfordton and Heather Larsen of Rutherfordton; his grandchildren, Kennedy Davis, Karter Davis, Maddox Davis, Ashley Green (Rob) and Emily Waldrop; and his sister-in-law Mary Preston. He is also survived by grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
