He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Parker and Zula Hull Parker; his daughter Sandy Black; and his siblings, Randy, Louise, Homer, Junior, Hettie and Colleen.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Padgett Parker; his daughters, Crystal Parker (Todd Radford) of Mooresboro, NC and Misty Black (Charlie Sr.) of Gaffney, SC; his grandchildren, Phillip Black (Lindsey) of Cherryville, NC, Charlie Black Jr. (Anna) of Chesnee, SC and Bayley Black (Hannah Owens) of Gaffney, SC; his great grandchildren, Everly Black and Maverick Black; and his sisters, Bernice Mosteller (Dwight) of Casar, NC, Judy Buff (Johnie) of Casar, NC and Rachel Buchanan (Bill) of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory (2518 W Dixon Blvd, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church (123 Beaver Dam Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152).
