He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Dolphus and Mary Verleen Putnam Hamrick; his wife Janis LaRene Combs Hamrick; and his sisters, Shirley Morgan, Joyce Johnson and Deloria Hamrick.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Rogers (George) of Shelby, Scott Hamrick (Danita) of Shelby and Cristal Barlow (Bob) of Boiling Springs, NC; his grandchildren, Natalie Conner (Jonathan), Nathan Rogers (Haley), Dayne Hamrick, Laura Beth McFalls (Chance), Kevin Barlow and Patrick Barlow (Brooklyn); his great grandchildren, Kinsley Conner, Lawson Rogers, Brayden Conner, Braelyn Barlow, Abigail McFalls and Braxton Barlow; and his siblings, Joe Donald Hamrick (Susan) of Shelby and Faye Dobbins of Shelby.
