He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Homer Hyde and Pauline Curtis Hyde; his wife Emily Ledbetter Hyde; and his siblings, Kenneth Hyde and Martha Nalley.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Blake Hyde (Nguyen) of Pineville, Daniel Ray Hyde of Gainesville, GA and Sheila Diane Hyde of Gainesville, GA; his stepson Jerry Burns of Gainesville, GA; and his siblings, Shannon Hyde (Dot) of Mooresboro, Lavonda Childers of Shelby, Beverly Conley of Shelby, Sue Morrison of Shelby, Gwen Morrison (Nathan) of Boiling Springs and Lynn Martin (Richard) of Fallston. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
