It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Allen of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James "Buddy" Benjamin Allen, Jr.; his grandparents, James "Benny" B. Allen, Sr., Roberta Allen, Odell and Gladys Thrift; and his mother-in-law Theresa Jones.
He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Jo Thrift Littlefield (Darrell) of Woodruff, SC; his son Lane Allen of Shelby; his sisters, Jennifer Wesson (Allen) of Shelby and Miranda Deyton (Aaron) of Rutherfordton; his nieces and nephews, Kane Williams, Kaela Rowsey, Colby Deyton and Jesse Deyton; his stepmother Connie Allen of Shelby; his stepsister Shannon Standish; his close friends, Lindsey Ward, Susan, Tim Elmore, Donna Thrift, Brandee, Scott Wright and Jerry Allen; and also, Landon, Bryan and Alan.
