He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Edwards and William Carl Edwards Jr.; and his sister Angela Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Jane Taylor Edwards of Shelby, NC; his children, Jenni Hayes (Chad) of Kannapolis, NC, Aaron Edwards (Cathy) of Moravian Falls, NC, Benjamin Edwards (Jennifer) of Kings Mountain, NC, Isaac Edwards (Esther) of Sparta, TN and Bethany Smith (David) of Travelers Rest, SC.; his grandchildren, Aaron Jr., Taylor, Cassidy, Michaela, Nathaniel, Cameron, Connor, Nicolas and Anna Rose; and his siblings, Brenda Goodnight (Talmadge) of Newport, NC, Faye Perritt (Billy) of Chattanooga, TN, Phyllis Sealey (Ray) of Newport, NC, Debbie White of Duenweg, MO and Charles Edwards of Beaufort, NC..
