He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Doc" Russ and Ellerea Bolin; his stepfather John Bolin; and his brother Wayne Russ. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Goins; his sons, Tim Russ (Elizabeth) of Polkville, NC and Brian Russ of Atlanta, GA.; his grandchildren, Philip Russ (Hannah) of Shelby and Kristin Davis (Blake) of Kings Mountain; and his great grandchildren, Raegan Chandler and Hollie Catherine Russ. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel (846 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28090, USA 28042). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
