He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Junior Curtis and Donnis Davis Curtis; his sister Claudia Curtis Newton; and his brother-in-law William Sonny Newton. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Smith Curtis; his sons, Shannon Curtis of Denver, NC and Matt Curtis (Meredith) of Waxhaw, NC; his granddaughter Sadie; his sisters, Anne Frazier (Johnny) of Henrietta and Sherry Goforth (Warren) of Shelby; and his mother-in-law Rachel Smith of Shelby. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
