It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Parker (Shelby, North Carolina), who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Billy Parker to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Green Parker and Ethel Morrison Parker; his wife Rachel Wright Parker; his siblings, James Allen "Buck" Parker (Lillian), Robert Lee "Boots" Parker (Maggie), Jesse Jack Parker, AC "Tom" Parker (Joyce) and Joanne Parker Nanney (Martin); and his sister-in-law Jo Haynes Parker.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Parker Geer (Rick) of Fallston; his granddaughter Kaley Geer Crump (Logan) of Shelby; and his siblings, Glenn Odell "Vop" Parker (Lib), Margaret Parker Williams of Greensboro, Jewell Aileen "Susie" Clark of Shelby, Mary Parker Denton of Lattimore and Betty Parker Greene (Herb) of Granite Falls. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
