He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Champion and Lela Hayes Champion; his wife Patricia Morrison Champion; and his siblings, Loyd "Red" Champion, Danny Champion, Mary Elizabeth "Sis" Champion, Carolyn Costner and Doris Brittain.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Champion (Kim) and Lisa Barnhill (Tim); and his grandchildren, Dakota Champion, Raven Champion and Hanson Barnhill.
