She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel McNeilly and Grayson McNeilly; her husband James Clifton Ledford; her son Avery Max Gardner, Jr.; and her siblings, Harold, Ray, James McNeilly, Mary Allen, Annie Carol Beaver and Christine Henderson.
She is survived by: her brothers, Jack McNeilly (Jo) of Belwood and Charles McNeilly (Sandra) of Belwood; her daughters, Tami Wheelous-Gardner of Smithfield, Ava Phillips (Bill) of Shelby and Patricia Gardner (Kevin Powell) of Ennice; her grandchildren, Tamara Doupe (Jon) of Kings Mtn, Madison Gardner (Hannah) of Durham, Avery Gardner of Raleigh and Remy Gardner of Raleigh; and her great grandchildren, Kody Phillips, Kory Phillips and Murphy Jane Gardner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
