She was predeceased by: her parents, William Grady Stringfellow and Vernie Mae Wright Stringfellow; her husband Arnold Lee Cook; her sisters, Brenda Sain and Louise Gantt; and her son-in-law Richard Tackett.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Cook of Conover, Sherry Hawkins (Everette) of Blacksburg, Rhenda Tackett (Michael Vaughn), Lisa Smith (Richard) of Casar, Tammy Ostwalt (Jim Griffin) and Angel Hamrick (Eric) of Belwood; her sisters, Lib Prater of Shelby and Ruth Willis of Lawndale; and her grandchildren, Lindsay Cook, Matthew Cook, Melissa Gilbert, Ashley Ledford, Craig Gibson, Travis Smith, Chris Cochran, Danielle Toney, Justin Honeycutt and Hunter Hamrick. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren.
