She was predeceased by: her parents, Luby Ellis Swafford and Mary Bridges Swafford; her husbands, Don Hughes and Charles Conwell; and her sister Nellie Barroso.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Southards and Barry Hughes (Julia); her grandchildren, Andy Southards (Casey), Tyler Hughes (Tosha), Lexy Delozier (Rick) and Savannah Conwell; her stepson Robbie Conwell (Tammy); her great grandchildren, Talon, Zeke, Juliette and Lucan Delozier; and her brother-in-law Ortelio Barroso.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Dover Baptist Church, 1501 Polkville Rd., Shelby, NC 28150.
