She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cordell of Washington and Callie Lytle Cordell; her former husband Joseph David Wood Jr.; her daughter Kathy Wood McGinnis; and her grandson Rodney Tyler McGinnis.
She is survived by: her son Joseph David Wood III; her grandsons, Neil and Evan; her son Michael Thomas Wood (Millie Arey Wood); her granddaughter Sara McFarland Wood; her great grandchildren, Carol Jo Wood and Kimberly Wood Conley (Wayne Conley); her grandsons, Jesse Greene and Matthew Joseph McGinnis McGinnis (Carmen Andrea); her great grandchildren, Lola McGinnis and Oliver McGinnis; her brother Thomas Cordell (Jane) of Washington; her daughters, Cindy (Brian Peoples) and Julie (Mike Setzer); and her husband Joe.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to Life Enrichment Center, 110 Life Enrichment Blvd, Shelby, NC 28150.
