It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Edwards of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loma Whitener and Perry Whitener; and her sisters, Hazel Lee, Louise Broome and Doris Haynes.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Edwards; her daughters, Wanda Montgomery (Robby), Lori Rabb (Keith) and Tonda Putnam; her sister Betty Wellmon; her grandchildren, Brooke Greene (Brad), Casey Putnam Riddle (Marcus), Tyler Rabb (Brittany), Holly Rabb, Matthew Humphries (TK) and Jesse Putnam II (Mikaela); and her great grandchildren, Brylee, Brayton, Brie, Laithan, Langstyn and Sadie.
