He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Thomas Kirkendall Sr. and Bertha Thrift Kirkendall; his wife Barbara Ann Cash Kirkendall; his great grandchild Caleb Fox; and his brothers, John Kirkendall and Ray Kirkendall.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Kirkendall of Lexington, NC, Pat McDonald (Neil) of Thomasville, NC and Mark Kirkendall (Myra) of Shelby, NC; his grandchildren, Tim Callahan (Trish) of Unicoi, TN, Jason Callahan (Kara) of Canton, NC, Jeramie Proctor of Ogdon, UT, Robin Bracco (Charlie) of Cherryville, NC, Tyler McAlister of Hudson, FL, Heather Kirkendall of Gaffney, SC and Jessica Kirkendall of Gaffney, SC; and his brothers, Steve Kirkendall (Sheila) of Shelby, NC and Spencer Kirkendall (Brenda) of Bellwood, NC.. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Westwood Heights Baptist Church (403 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Westwood Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 650 Dellinger Rd, Shelby, NC 28152.
