It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aretha Ross (Shelby, North Carolina), who passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Ross and Ida Ree Ross; her siblings, Willie Ann Egerton, Richard McDowell, Willie Ross, Tony Ross (Alicia) of Charlotte, NC, Larry Junior McDowell and Eugene Richard McDowell; her uncle Louis Wilson; her cousins, Calvin E. Ross and David O'neil Gossett; and her grandparents, Wille Junior McDowell, Zoe Carolyn Wray McDowell, Clayton Wray, Ida Agnes Allen and Vergel Hicks.
She is survived by: her aunt Lindenea McDowell of Kingstown, NC; her uncle Damian McDowell of Shelby, NC; her cousins, Barbara Whiteside, Latarsha Ross, Alexia Gossett and Damar Gossett; and her close friend DeShawn Olham.
