With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ansley Newton of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlotte Wilkins Schenck and Sam Moore Schenck; and her brother Sammy Schenck. She is survived by: her children, Clint Newton III of Shelby, NC, Ann Newton (David Pollock) of Pownal, ME and Robert Newton (MaryKate Cunningham) of Chapel Hill, NC.; her granddaughters, Lily Newton of New York City and Grace Newton of Washington, DC.; and her nieces and nephews, Shelia Bollick (Harry), Linda Aldworth (Don), Vicki Plumstead (Bill), Beth Albright (Ned), Alison Gilbert, Sandy Newton (Sharon) and David Campbell (Lori).
