She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeeter Proctor James and Peggy Ann Plemmons James; and her siblings, Michael James, Buddy James, Sylvia Wright and Lynn James.
She is survived by: her husband James Dale Hayes; her daughters, Stephanie Costner (Donnie) of Lawndale and Kim Devine (David) of Lawndale; her brother David James (Kay) of Shelby; and her grandchildren, Spencer Devine, Emma Devine, Peyton Devine, Meah Ivie, Joseph Costner and Emma Costner.
