He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Richards Callahan; his sisters, Nancy, Charlotte of Galena and Harve of Grace, MD.; and his children, Michael of York, SC, Scott of Manzanita, OR, Brian of Lakeland, FL, Timothy of Monroe, NC. and Susan Reed of Mundelein, IL..

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shelby Presbyterian (226 E Graham St, Shelby, NC 28150).
