She was predeceased by: her parents, George Davis and Maggie Leola Dixon Davis; her husband Rev. Parris McCurry; her daughter Kathy Ridings; and her grandson Kevin Borders.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda McCurry Greene (Keith) of Shelby; her grandchildren, Gary Borders, Celeste Whisnant Kimbrell (Eric) of Shelby and Daria Borders Burns (Michael) of Union, S. C.; her great grandchildren, Caroline Abernathy, Miranda Tessnear, Chasity Rochester, Heather Sanders, Michael Burns Jr., David Border and Brooke Smith; and her great great grandchildren, Harper Abernathy, Christian, Noah, Kelci Rochester, Gabriel Sutphin, Arya Davis, Ava, Maggie, Mili and Maverick Burns.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Home of Aileen McCurry. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150).
