It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Jordan Forbes (Shawboro, North Carolina), born in Camden, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent William Parsons; her grandson Christopher Brandon Whitehurst; and her siblings, Myrtle Copeland, Gertrude Jones, Elwood, Alton, George, Monford and Dewey Jordan.
She is survived by: her parent Sophie Berry Jordan; her children, Carla Whitehurst of Morrisville, Joyce Ward (Sonny) of Shawboro, Brenda Berry (W. R.) of Shawboro and David Forbes (Goldie) of Kitty Hawk; her grandchildren, Ashley Whitehurst of Atlanta, GA, Tabitha Cruise of Camden, Lauren Forbes of Greenville, Brett Forbes of Camden and Parker Berry of Shawboro; her great grandchild Justine Renee Cruise of Camden; her sister-in-law Dot Forbes; and her nephew Howard Jones.
