He is survived by: his parents, Emerson "Pete" Porter, Sr. and Fancy Lynch Porter; his wife Vanessa Leigh Porter; his son Terrell Jordan Porter; his sisters, Valarie Smart of Pennsylvania, Carla Porter of Rocky Mount, NC and Sonya Silver (Anthony) of Nashville, NC; his nieces, Tamara McCray (Troy) and Amber Porter; his great-nephew Ari Brooks McCray; and his cousins, Donnell Battle and Stanley Richardson. He is also survived by his relatives and close friends.
