He was predeceased by: his parents, Percell Henderson and Rose Ann Henderson of Hoke County; and his siblings, Oscar, Vardell, Quest, Hubert Henderson, Corabell and Lishia Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Ruth Henderson; his children, Hank Henderson of Red Springs, Sammy Jr. Henderson (Brenda) of Shannon, Ricky Henderson (Victoria) of Shannon and Brenda Deese (Laverne) of Wagram; his daughter-in-law Shirley Henderson; his grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Adam, Taylor, Travis, James, Tiffany, Christina Henderson, Tina Logan, Chad Deese and Christy Chavis; and also, Sharon and Verman Edens of Shannon. He is also survived by twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
