He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Jacobs Sr. and Eva Bowens Jacobs; and his siblings, Henry Jacobs, Anthony Jacobs, Timothy Jacobs, Dwight Jacobs, Rev. James Jacobs, Elaine Jacobs and Judy Oxendine.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby L. Jacobs; his sons, Marcus Jacobs (Angela) of Shannon, Rev. Jason Jacobs (Amanda) of Pembroke, Timmy Jacobs (April) of Lumber Bridge and Jimmy Jacobs (Denise) of Shannon; and his sisters, Lora Locklear of Rennert, Donna Darner of Green Bay, WI, Annette Chavis of Raeford and Lisa Locklear (Don) of Shannon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
