He was predeceased by: his close friend Betty Clark Cantwell; and his siblings, Robert Locklear, Redell Locklear of James Locklear, J. D, Purcell Locklear, Lore Locklear, Hester Hawtof and Lily Oxendine.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Locklear of Pembroke, Clyde Locklear of Baltimore Md and George Locklear of Baltimore Md; his stepchildren, Jimmy Jacobs of Shannon, Lenard Morgan of Shannon, Ronnie Morgan of St. Pauls and Judy Morgan of Pembroke; and his siblings, Laxton Locklear of Shannon, NC, Les Norman Locklear Jr. of Pembroke, Geraldine Woods of Shannon and Rebecca Oxendine of Shannon. He is also survived by three grandchildren; 29 nephews and niece as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
