It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Certice Locklear of Shannon, North Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Oxendine and Priscilla Brayboy; and her siblings, Orba, George Von, Charles Hamp, Willie Clayton, Broughton, Orbell, Fairlon, Martha and Gennella.
She is survived by: her husband Clifton Locklear; her daughters, Melinda Locklear of Shannon and Teresa L. McDonald of Red Springs; her brother John Oxendine of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Cory R. Locklear, Morgan S. McDonald and Seth Elliott McDonald; and her great grandchildren, Tori Reana Green and Mark Allen Locklear. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
