He was predeceased by: his parents, Zebulon Vance Cox, Sr. and Nolie Lee Thomas Cox; and his brothers, Thomas L. Cox and Dexter R. Cox, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Susan Cox Hamilton (Don), Jeffrey V. Cox of Eastover, N. C., Donald C. Cox (Cindy) of Little River, S. C. and David S. Cox of Shallotte, N. C.; and his sister Charlene McNeill of Carthage. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
