With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Warren Gaither Sr. of Shallotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Newsome Gaither and Molly Robinson Gaither; his wife Ophelia Bellamy Gaither; his daughter Marilyn Smith; and his sister Peggy Ellis.
He is survived by: his children, William "BJ" Gaither, Jr. (MiMi), John Gaither (Rosa) and Cindi Smith (David); and his siblings, Ronnie Gaither and Sandy Burke. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
