He was predeceased by: his parents, Tobie Godwin and Mary Garrell Godwin; and his siblings, Edward Godwin, Shedward Godwin, Elizabeth Penney, Flaudia Fowler, Arvel Godwin and Inez Glazier.
He is survived by: his daughter Valerie Dumproff (John); his grandchildren, John T. Dumproff and Jenamari Rigg (Riley); his great grandchildren, Audrey and Naomi Rigg; his close friend Lorraine Parker Milligan; his grandchildren, Jessie, Kelsy, Angela and Alex; and also, Reese Milligan (Donna), Sherri Tentnowski (Michael) and Darlene Williams (Danny). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
