He was predeceased by: his significant other Kathryn Dail; his father Jodie Moody; and his brothers, Morris, Benny and Jodie, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Brian of Sunset Beach, NC and Shannon of Richmond, VA.; his sister Margaret May of Goldsboro, NC; and his half-brother Paul (Cindy) of Dudley, NC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
