It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malcolm James Grissett (Shallotte, North Carolina), who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Grissett and Carrie S. Grissett. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Todd Grissett; his children, Tamala Grissett Grimes (Roger) and James "Jamey" Grissett; his grandchildren, Hayley Grimes Postich (Cody), Sarah Grissett Caison (Casey), Hayden Grimes and Heath Grimes; and his sister Catherine "Joyce" Kirk.

Masks and social distancing will be observed.

He was instrumental in the foundation of the Grissettown-Longwood Fire Department, and went on to serve on their board.
