He was predeceased by: his former wife Elaine Russ Leonard; his children, Brenda Gail Leonard VanZorge, Patsy Ann Leonard Trijillo and Timothy Doane Leonard of Shallotte, NC; and his granddaughter Pamela Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Thorsen; his son Ronald Elton Leonard (Debra Roberts Leonard) of Key West; his siblings, Elroy Leonard of Shallotte, NC, Sammie Leonard (Betty) of Hickmans, Dorit Teeters (Tom Teeters) of Boone, NC and Shelby Rourk of Shallotte, NC; his son-in-law David Trijillo of Key West; his grandchildren, Kimberly Vanzorge Soucy of Chicago, Ill, Steven Patrick Leonard (Martha Leonard), Jason Collins (Danielle Burch Leonard) of Tarpon Springs, Christopher Kevin (Amber Leonard) of Key West, David Lee Trijillo of New York City, NY, Donald Aiden (Nicole Trijillo) of Key West and Timothy E. Leonard (Scooter); and his stepchildren, Richard Thorsen, Angie Smith, Barbie Oxedine, Bud Thorsen and Regina Berry. He is also survived by eleven great-grand children.
