She was predeceased by: her parents, George Albert Register and Florence Geneva Ludlum Register; her husband Thomas Calvin Batson, Jr.; and her siblings, O'Neal Grissett and Rutha Lee Phelps.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Owens (David) and Cal Batson (Stephanie); her siblings, Kenneth Grissett (Ocean Isle Beach), Selene Robinson and Judy Blanton; her grandchildren, Kelly Willetts Reddick (Stephen), Zachary Batson (Jennifer) and Saxon Owens (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Avery and Boone.
