He was predeceased by: his parents, David Monroe Carter and Muriel Collins Carter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. Carter; his children, Tina Waddell (Garvie) of Shallotte, NC, Steven Carter (Kim) of Wilkesboro, NC and Michael Carter (Brooke) of Shallotte; his brother Glenn Carter of Upland, California; his grandchildren, Kimberly Lackey (Dustin), Katelyn Waddell, Brandon Waddell (Raven), Destinee Carter (Michael Lee Carter), Amber Collins (Christian), Brianna Waddell, Ethyn Carter and Bethany Carter; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Addie, Ellie, Caden and Dawson.
