He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Noah Bentley and Ola Bentley (Harris); his wife June Bentley; and his siblings, Leola, Lois, Cora, James, Gary, Bill and Dennis.

He is survived by: his nephew Rick Bentley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
