He was predeceased by: his parents, Yancey "Yank" and Senora Lee Alphin; and his siblings, Suzanne Carter, Rose Williams, Roger, Dennis and Tommy Alphin.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Cripps Alphin; and his daughters, Melissa Harrison (Joey) of La Grange, Sherry Cooper (Ryan) of La Grange, Valerie Raynor (Michael) of Pikeville and Vanessa Alphin of Goldsboro. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
